Modern health care is in chaos.
We are consuming more medications than ever before in the history of our civilization. We are checking into hospitals for surgeries to fix hearts, hips & knees, to get rid of belly fat & saddlebags, to cinch up our stomachs, to fix our eyes, to analyze our digestive problems and to have c-section babies. We are being radiated, poisoned and cut apart.
What happened to the Hippocratic oath of "first do no harm"?
Have you begun to wonder what on earth is happening on this earth?
Our food supply is being tinkered with, genetically modified, factory farmed, mechanically separated, artificially flavored and colored, wrapped in cellophane, frozen, and pumped full of preservatives to extend shelf life.
We have become more sedentary, our lives focused around computers and electronic devices.
We have stopped asking important questions about why we are experiencing so much illness and demanding answers of the people who are making the big political, financial, corporate, and health decisions in our country.
Is it any wonder that modern health care is in chaos? Surely I cannot be the only one putting 2 and 2 together and getting 4.
But I am a big believer in silver linings.
This is the silver lining:
PEOPLE HAVE POWER.
Power to ask for what you want.
Power to eat what you want.
Power to vote -- both in the elections and with your dollars.
Power to heal yourself.
Power to help heal others.
Power to change what isn't right.
Power to create whatever you need to have the life you want.
As a Health Coach, it has always been my goal to help create a ripple effect of good health in our world. My target is women just like me. Ultra-busy, stressed-out, over-committed women who simply want good health for themselves and their families. My approach gives them that. It clears away the worry over food, body size and that "when's the other shoe going to drop?" fear of illness and instills an intensely positive outlook for the future.
Give me your time-crunched. Give me your overwhelmed. Give me your exhausted, carpooling mom. I will give you a lean, calm, sparkly woman in no time!
I have studied most of the major dietary theories out there and I use practical lifestyle coaching methods to guide you in discovering which approach works best for you. Most approaches to nutrition dwell on calories, carbs, fats, proteins. My approach uses no extensive lists of superfoods, complex eating plans or endless hours on the elliptical.
